Restaurant Review: Hananoki Japanese Steakhouse

Thank you guys so much for all the sweet comments on yesterday’s post about my new journey. The future can be exciting and scary at the same time, but I’m ready to jump on that ride with my eyes open at every loop-de-loop!

With so much going on over the last week, I almost forgot that I wanted to do my first restaurant review for the blog. This place is one of my favorite places to eat, and knowing that, it is where my mom took me the night following my accident…it definitely helped to cheer me up!

Hananoki is a Japanese steakhouse in Clarksville, TN and Paducah, KY (very similar to Benihana)that has some of the best Asian cuisine I have ever tasted and with their skilled chefs and teppanyaki style cooking it is definitely an entertaining experience!

I think their prices are pretty reasonable…usually I get out right under $30 including tip and although that may seem a little high for one person, you will NEVER finish your meal without taking home leftovers!

Some clear soup for starters

The salad…it is ALL about the dressing…full of spicy ginger goodness!

Dishing out the dipping sauces.
I have no idea what is in these, but the white horseradish-type sauce is,
I swear, laced with crack!

And then the “show” starts!

Wait for it…

Onion volcano!

A little veggie and shrimp action

The best fried rice EVER!

Mmm!

Cooking up the entrees…shrimp, chicken, salmon, and steak

Watch the plate grow…

Cabbage and bean sprouts, glazed salmon, fried rice blanketed in luscious white sauce, mixed veggies, and steak

What’d I tell you?

What is your favorite Asian dish/restaurant?

Your pictures made my mouth water. I miss this place SO much! Think of me every time you go from now on. Best Japanese EVER!

  2. Everything looks so good! It does look a lot like Benihana. I’m not a huge fan of Asian food, but I went to a Mongolian buffet in Colorado twice and walked out ten pounds heavier. It was glorious!

those are so fun to go to! Entertainment and good food go hand in hand!

  9. Yum! Everything looks so delicious. We have 2 chain restaurants out by me that are very similar, if not the exact same style, as Hananoki Japanese Steakhouse. I haven’t been to them in years but I always loved the food and they sure do give you a ton of food!

I’m totally craving all that food right now!

  10. Is there anything better than the onion volcano? I don’t think so. I normally go for the brown rice and steamed veggies…I know boring, but I can’t have soy. It looks like you had a lot of fun!

Those restaurants are so fun:) My favorite is a place called Stir Crazy. You choose your noodles or rice and protein and then go through a buffet loading up on the veggies and sauce of your choice. Then they stir fry it for you! So fun and so delicious!

Wow there is so much goodness on this post that I cannot help but drool a little 😉 I love Asian food especially fried rice. This place totally reminds me of Benihana with the chef cooking everything in front of you 🙂
